During break I went to the Art Institute. They had some new pieces in the contemporary section that I really liked, one of which is this one:

I forgot who the artist was, but he [I think it was a guy] used dolls and stuffed animals that he found in the garbage or thrift stores and sewed them together. It's such a perverse and sexual piece of work, made from children's innocent playthings. A giant vagina with a huge phallic coming out of it. I especially love the expression on the doll's face. It was great, you walk in and there's this huge thing made from toys. Some of them, especially the bananas on the floor are dirty and look like they've been lying in dumpsters. There's even a planarian stuffed animal. [You can sort of see if in the bottom left corner of the first picture. It's blue greyish. It has a bow tie.]

Here's a picture of Emma that I really like, by the riverrrr:

And the pair of elderly gentleman that made their way through the entire museum and we could hear their old deep raspy voices vibrating the walls from around corners.

This is the pose they took at every piece of art work. Leaning over it and discussing. I love old people.

Hey, that vagina thing, i thought the stuff coming out and on the floor was like umbillical residue, not phallic, and that's why the artist used the children's stuffed animals because of the connection between a mother and a child.
