Do I post too many pictures? I've just had this huge assortment of them because of my homework assignments.

I bet you didn't know this:

This is amazing. It's a brick square building, without windows or anything, painted white. Ass out in Champaign. And it's a store! I was amazed at this.

You know what I really really want? A typewriter and extra RAM.
I've been spending so much time in front of the computer screen or staring at my camera. My eyes are starting to hurt. I used to sit and stare at my monitor for hours because I chose too and wanted to mess around in Photoshop. Now I HAVE to. It's a weird feeling. What once was a hobby is like a chore of hard work. My eyes are going to melt out of their sockets. I don't even have time to mess around like I wanted to - and make wallpapers or random shit.

And why is the leading on this text so damn lame?! LAAMME. I really want to change it but I don't know which part of the template code to change. Ugh. Who adds such a huge leading to such a huge font like this.
I really, really love macro photography. I was taking lots of pictures for Henry's latest stupid assignment. Here are two good ones:
[Also, I have 23 hours and 20 minutes of class a week. That's a whole fucking day. 1 day out of the week I spend my life sitting in classes.]

Aren't forks cool? Oh, wait, they're not that cool after you've taken 56 pictures of the damn thing and then proceeded to spend several hours drawing different variations of said fork.  At least my pictures came out hella cool.  Stay tuned for more picture of the FORKtm.

P.S. I'm really suprised that 50% of you use a screen resolution that's 1280 x 1024. I guess we just keep moving up and up. Remember when every monitor was 800 x 600? And those were the only wallpaper dimensions you could find? I myself use 1152 x 864. So this is good because I can screw around with the layout of my blog so that I have more room for posts.

What is your screen resolution?

So I was making a new header over break.  This is what came out.  I like it, except I look fat and emo in the picture.  What do you guys think? Good enough header? Keep the one I already have?

Emma, the birthday boy and I.
I feel lame and boring. I'm also an old lady.
Well, my first week of the semester is officially over. No class on Friday.
I started getting sick on the weekend and womenly troubles came along that made this week not that great. And not to mention that my art classes didn't turn out as awesome as I'd hoped. I really needed my classes to be good so I could feel better about alot of things [which I won't mention now]. But what's ending up happening is that I'm afraid of the work load and I'm having a career/future crisis.

I have the same teacher, Henry, for both of my graphic design classes, Typography and Image Making. The same teacher Mon - Thur at the same time. It's basically the same people too, so Henry is always repeating himself and not knowing which class it is. Ugh. And Henry himself is too old. He's like 50 [and has really young kids too, like under 8 and then some old daughter who lives in New York. I guess he remarried?]. And he was born in Mexico and has a nice accent. But anyways, he's not sharp and fast and smart as Daniel was last semester. Henry doesn't understand what we say sometimes. For example, he asked us why we were all in graphic design. And someone was giving their answer and in it said "I wanted to design cars and stuff but I didn't get into ID, so I just went into GD. " And so they finishes, and Henry nodded his head and said "Why did you not go into ID." And the person's like "I didn't get in." It's like WTF, were you NOT listening Henry? He's like a slow old man. The kind you imagine saying "HUUUHH?!" in a really loud old man voice. Henry's not quick. He's old and takes a long time to say things.
I don't know how I feel about him yet, though. He has a lot of different experiences in his life, i.e. being foreign. So I hope he brings in a new perspective to the class. Unlike Daniel, who went to U of I for grad school. But, I don't know anymore. Bah.

I also have two classes that are all about coding and html and shit like that. One in the art school and one in the Graduate School of Library Science [LIS]. The art school one is more narrative media based - using websites and html and stuff to make web sites that tell something. While the LIS one is more about knowing how to write code and write web pages and junk. Both are gonna be good things since I REALLY need to know html and dreamweaver and flash and etc for my future career as a graphic design. I look at the job board and every job posting they have that has design is about web sites and knowing Dreamweaver. So I really need to know my stuff.
Sigh, so much work this semester.

Blingo

Click the link and register and be one of my blingo friends. With Blingo you just search like you normally would and then win prizes that they give out. Jie's been using blingo and won 4 movie tickets. Which is pretty nice. The give out other prizes too. It's neat! AND it's powered through Google, so it's like using the Google search engine, except that you can win prizes.
Also, if I win a prize I get to send the same prize I won to one of my friends. And vice versa.

During break I went to the Art Institute. They had some new pieces in the contemporary section that I really liked, one of which is this one:

I forgot who the artist was, but he [I think it was a guy] used dolls and stuffed animals that he found in the garbage or thrift stores and sewed them together. It's such a perverse and sexual piece of work, made from children's innocent playthings. A giant vagina with a huge phallic coming out of it. I especially love the expression on the doll's face. It was great, you walk in and there's this huge thing made from toys. Some of them, especially the bananas on the floor are dirty and look like they've been lying in dumpsters. There's even a planarian stuffed animal. [You can sort of see if in the bottom left corner of the first picture. It's blue greyish. It has a bow tie.]

Here's a picture of Emma that I really like, by the riverrrr:

And the pair of elderly gentleman that made their way through the entire museum and we could hear their old deep raspy voices vibrating the walls from around corners.

This is the pose they took at every piece of art work. Leaning over it and discussing. I love old people.

I'm making a large picture post because I've had some pictures from break that I kept forgetting to put up.

Here's a photo-montage of my kitty. I'm going back to school and won't be seeing her for a while. And I just love kitties.

This is my cat's sister, Mimi. She looks exactly like Kicia, just half her size and meows a ridiculous amount. CUUTEEE.
Also, my boyfriend is a magical wizard. And one of my friends is actually a communist dictator.

Gwwaad, I have so much to update about. And I just don't have time for it all. It's already 1:23 and I can't keep staying up until the wee hours.

First off, I finally found a torrent for Project Runway and downloaded that shit. The new episode featured the designers making a dress for "socialite" Nicky Hilton. Gee Jolly. I can't believe that they still have Marla on. She doesn't know what the hell she's doing and her designs just plain suck. Like Nick put it, it's full of "whickety-wack trim." Everything she makes has that horrific trim.
"She's got some whickety-wack trim on it. She's going to take off her jacket and it's going to be 'whickety-wack'. Look at my whickety- wack trim."
When Nick said that in one of the older episodes, I actually laughed out loud.

In any case, the new episode wasn't that exciting. Santino won. I really don't think his dress was the best. Nick had a much more beautiful one. Santino is way too obsessed with making baby doll dresses that sit high above the waist. It's too...girly and not sophisticated enough [especially for a "socialite" such as Nicky Hilton]. It's as though you're trying to hide a fat ass or a boring figure. Note, how Santino's designs all look really similar. The winning dress is on the left, with his 2 old ones on the right:

Here are my favorites. Nick's beautiful blue dress and Daniel V's sexy red patterned one.

It's also fun to notice how on the project runway website, the polls show that audience's best voted for dresses were 1. Nick 2. Daniel V 3. Andrea. With Santino coming in with #4. Hmmmmmmmmm.

Also, Tim Gunn is my hero.
I'm in this weird slump. Everything's boring and same. I feel aloof and apathetic. My life's not changing. I've forgotten what it feels like to be really happy. Everything's...eh. I don't know. I mean, it's not always like that... but for the most part. Okay, I'm probably making this sound more harsh than it really is. I think that everything in my life is "content." So there's nothing new and exciting and strange happening. I need some sort of new experiences. I'm sick of sameness. And I'm sick of the past.
Maybe the new semester will "refresh" me. It's gonna be nice being back in that college bubble, with friends down the hall, responsibilities, busy schedules, lots of art classes and things to do.

[EDIT] I've decided that I should be more optimistic. Things really aren't that bad. Just because things aren't changing and/or new doesn't mean the whole world's ending. Besides, there's so many good and positive things around me. Like family, friends and kitties.
So, good riddance to 2005 and here's hoping 2006 is gonna be an amazing year.

"Aww, look at all your different colored hats!"

Haha.
Happy 2006!!

The above are from New Years celebrations, me loving the Power Rangers, playing around with sparklers, blocking the flash while taking pictures in a mirror and X-Files test tube alien fetuses that might be lava lamps.
